Roland von Huene Major research interests concern tectonic processes along convergent margins between the trench and the seismogenic zone. Study methods include marine geophysical observations from multibeam bathymetry, seismic reflection records, and potential field observations to scientific ocean drilling. Study goals are to quantify global terrigeneous material flux along subduction zones and advance understanding of tectonic mechanisms shaping convergent margins dominated by both accretion and subduction erosion.
